why are you so good at taking pictures?

Thanks. I can't really say other than I enjoy taking pictures. Some people take pictures when they're bored, I am the opposite. I do it to have fun. :)

I think individual fish within the genus behave very differently. Some are very calm and some are rambunctious and some are somewhere in between.

My RTG is rambunctious but he has never attempted to jump out of his tank. He simply gets excited and bangs the lids occasionally, losing a scale or two in the process. The Chilli Red was bond and determined to get out of the tank, one way or another.

I have yet to come across any good english book on arowanas other than picture books. I haven't really looked hard though. There re a number of books produced in the far east in asian languages, but alas they are no good to me, lol.

One option for you would be to check out all the arowana videos on youtube. There are quite a few taken with wild south american aros.

Thanks for the reply Gerry. I must agree with the behavioral attitude between fish within a genus, too. Some being calm and others being over zealous. Unfortunately, I don't read Far East Asain Languages either. Is that a common MFK character trait for us here on the North American Continent? I look into those u-tube video's you mentioned and see what I can learn from them. In the meantime as well, I am going to search a few publishing houses and see if they have any books on old world fish in English.

I also have a librarian friend who finds it a challenge to find books for me on different Aquarium topics. I'll contact her in the morning and see what she can find, but it may up through this Friday or Saturday before she will have an answer for me of yes or no. Again, thanks for the reply and I'll stay in touch.

P.S.: Have you begun your photo thread on your Super Red yet? Just curious. :D
