Arowanas are in the family Osteoglossidae, which roughly translates to "bony tongues". That's what got you.

no i wouldn't call them "teeth". but the outter rim of a silver arowana's mouth has a gripping/serrated texture that acts as teeth. its more of a rough oral "tred" than teeth.

for comparison, look at Jardinis. they have actual teeth that grow out to the sides and in the mouth.

your looking at his chapped mouth. they got serrated oral rims that act as gripping teeth but i wouldn't say teeth more than just a really jagged substitute.
