Just got me a new Ball python but what is really?

not a pastel, it's a normal with a nice lighter pattern.

could be a het, but there is no visual way to tell. most common hets are usually het pied and het albino, but you can't call it a het unless it's confirmed by the breeder.

Take a better picture of the snake and also take one of the belly. its most likely a het male of some sort,, Ghost, Albino, Pied etc these are usually sold off to pet stores as normals because they arent worth much since the morphs came down in price.

het is when two morps produce a normal baby but the baby still has the morphs blood line
