Pantera havent been active in pretty much a decade i went for a band that wasnt active and also its the meaning that it has behind it too.
I agree. A tat has to have meaning, wether they are still called pantera or not it is something that was a part of your life at the time.
Like for instance Fear Factory was my favorite band when I was graduating HS and I'm still contemplating getting some type of FF tat cause they were a big part of my life.
I'll be getting a Detroit Tigers tat here pretty soon cause they are a big part of my summer life and has been since I was pretty much born.

Very cool tattoo. I have 3 and still counting for the future. Awesome!!

Congrats man. Good tattoo for the first tat too, no pun intended. Cowboy's from Hell was awesome.

I'm gonna give you the best piece of advice you'll get here- become friends with a tattoo artist or the shop owner. Tattoo artists take care of their friends, and they love friends with skin willing to be pricked to try a different style or to put one of their personal pieces on. I'm not saying befriend a tattoo artist just to get tattoos, that's shallow, I'm just saying they make great friends and they'll usually also barter/trade. Sending more business to your tattoo artist is a great idea too. Tell your friends to go see your artist and have them say who sent them.

Nice tat. I love pantera.

GSM: Dime is Dimebag Darrell. He was the guitarist for Pantera. He was killed on stage by a fan.

Thanx everybody!!!!!

Definitely agree welcome to your latest addiction...

As for the get to know your artist comment, as true as that statement is, its more important to find an artist that specializes in the type of work you want to get... and if your picky with the artist you go with, you could be waiting a while to get work done...

I know one of my favorite tattoo artists has actually stopped taking any more appointments due to having too long a waiting list, which last i heard was something like 5+ years...
