Incorrect Canada has no laws against channa at the moment .only some provincial bans
A Ontario & Quebec have clear bans on all channa. BC is most recent to put bans into effect again on all species but it seems that it's a bit unclear as various gov references contradict each other and it's clearly not enforced.
Manitoba is a bit ahead of the rest, they ban only channa argus (the Northern Snakehead).
I think it's ridiculous that any fish needs to be prohibited in canada but there is a valid argument for channa argus being a risk and unfortunately people can't be trusted !
The rest of the bans are ridiculous laws put together out of ignorance and fear thanks to the typical media hype provided by our neighbours to the south.
