Just got some yellow perch

Used to have a few of them they're schooling fish and will eat just about anything. I had them eating shrimp and bloodworms with minnows thrown in. Really not a hard fish to take care of. Before my tank got whipped out I think the largest one was around 8-9" and I got them at around 2".

All good advice above. The no heater part is a big one, they are cool water fish.

Also I'll second the females growing larger than the males had 5 fish at 2" the largest at around 8-9" and the rest around 5" so I'm assuming I only had one female in the pack. I did notice that they grew pretty quick
