gutted, two days ago he started swimming on his side with no real control and the others (large butti and midas) had attacked i seperated of the other two and medicated for swim bladder disease and this morning he was hardly moving floating upside down... went to work hoping to see an improvement when i got home but came home to a barely alive fish panting with cloudy eyes and looking like a dead fish all pale. he let me pick him outta the water with no struggle at all, 15 min ago i bagged him up and slipped him in the freezer... had him for about 5 years and he was about a year old when i got him...

the greatest fish i ever had the pleasure of enjoying.

What a beautiful specimen. Such a nice fish :( sad news to hear. Sorry for your loss man I'm sure it is really hard on you.

Thanks,Yea, when you have a fish that long its like losing a dog. First time ive had to euthanize but I knew it had to be done...

I have some of his fry at 1cm atm so I will now definitely be keeping some...
