to my almost 5" RTC/TSN:(...That's two he's eaten the little bugger:irked:. The little Pbass was a special one to me because it only had 2 spots. It's my fault though cuz at first I had a splitter that split the RTC/TSN from the rest of it's tankmates til my new tank arrives so I can throw the little bugger into a bigger tank. I just thought since the Pbass's grew an inch then the RTC/TSN wouldn't attempt eating something 3/4 it's size. I was wrong! The RTC/TSN is growing fast, from 3" to 5" less then 1 month:eek:. I did attempt to try and save the 2 spotter by pulling it out of it's mouth and I had the Pbass's tail on my fingertips but it just wouldn't come out. Oh wells, lesson learned again..I guess that's how mother nature is..can't blame him. Now they are splitted off again. I really need my new tank soon...

That sucks...so sorry to hear that...they grow really fast. I had a 3 inch RTC go from 3'' to 6'' in about a month and a half and he tried to eat my 4'' ntt and I wasnt going to let that happen...so I sold him!

My RTC/TSN Hybrid ate a Bullhead catfish that was at least half his size. Never thought that would have happened. I guess they'll eat whatever they can fit.

RTC are monsters that cant be kept with anything. Best way to learn is to figure it out on your own.

what's that saying? first time shame on you.... fool me once you can't fool me again? ~bush ?

I have both rtc and the rtc x tsn hybrid and from what I see the hybrid is a much more aggressive feeder/hunter than the pure rtc. The P-bass have speed if they see something coming but with the stealth that the hybrid has it just gets close to something and then whamm, its eaten. Luv my cats and my bass just have to keep them separate.

Ya I noticed that too with the RTC/TSN. He's much quicker in hunting feeders. I had a 17" TSN back in the day and they would dart forward when they eat so IMO TSN's are much quicker hunters then RTC's and I guess that's why the hybrid is a faster hunter.
