hey just wondering snice u have black sand would it be very hard to clean it??

Nooo not at all actually you can see the crap on the sand really good , I find myself doing spot cleaning alot takes two sec, just put the sifen hose (spelled totally wrong) in and start the water flow then plug up the hose with ur finger now u can go around the tank where theres alot of crap and just do a quick suck ( no homo ) . i dont even fill a half of bucket and it leaves my sand completely clean. I love sand I will never go back to gravel , just make sure you get a nice heavyer sand. Play sand and light sand is no good. and wash it real good before you put it in. and dont forget when your doing water changes to stur up the sand a bit to release bubbles that for under the sand and unplug ur filters when moving it around just to be safe. good luck

:naughty::)i also have black sand in my african cichlid tank with a black plastic background on the back, and ever since i had the black sand instead of white gravel i have noticed the fish love it alot more for breeding and it brings out the colours exellently in your fish

Nice change! This is why I love black substrate sooooo much!
