I remember the ordeal my armatus and I went through when I tried to measure it so no more netting large characins in the future if I don't absolutely have to lol....anyhow,nice going getting it to a nice size.

Lol yeah. I’ll have to net his guy out one more time when he goes into a bigger tank. He’s been in a 135 gallon since I got him.
 
Good luck with the transfer, what are you thinking of putting him in?
I’m still debating whether to move him into a 180 and then to a 900 or move him to a 900 directly. I don’t want this guy darting around in a 900, building up momentum and banging into the glass.
 
What do you have in that 900 right now?

If you take the base of the fork then I’d say this guy was close to 4” when I got him. And I got him on January 30th 2016. Definitely a slow grower.


Based on what the others were saying it sounds like 1 move is probably better.
I don’t know, don’t want to risk it. But I still have a few months to figure it out.
