Where the Parachromis roam...
I have been a member here for a little while now and i have noticed an increasingly amount of threads being attacked by the same few members here who dont believe people should ask certain questions about thier fish.As if everyone who joins MFK is already an expert in the fishkeeping hobby.Being told to use the "Search Engine" is fine, but getting a real persons experience with certain fish is far more helpful than just getting the fishies basic info.If you think a members question is "stupid" then dont bother with it just skip the thread,i am more tired of hearing these kinds of answers instead of a newbie asking an easy to find question. To these members who act this way, what if you were treated this way when you 1st started in this hobby or 1st joined MFK??Would you appreciate it??Lets just all help each other, sorry for venting.:chillpill::headbang2

Agreed :) The funny part is, when someone does use the search tool and responds to an existing post, they get flamed for bringing back an old topic!

i think sometimes, its people who ask for advice then dont listen, kinda makes everyone thats taken their time out to help feel a bit cr*p.

It's called karma. ^^^

OK, I just re-read all the "welcome to MFK" threads, searched the forum, etc...and I can't seem to find the "Ignore Karma" button!

Mind helping me out a bit here?

lol :D

I agree with the OP. People need to be more willing to help and to share their experience. That is the whole point of having a site and not a club.

I also agree, fully, that if the intention is to reply with a belittling post, better to skip the thread alltogether and spare everybody else the negativity, which, even worse, tends to attract followers ( as most, baser, human conducts ).

Having said that, less experienced keepers should also try to find some answers on their own, at least to show their interest and will to learn.
