I think that Juxtaroberto hits the nail on the head.
People are increasingly nervous and aching for a discussion, if only to vent out their anger/nervousness at any one of the many crazy things that are out there making all our lives more complicated, on a daily basis.
Everybody is more or les nervous and everybody should calm down.
But let us not forget the purpose of this gathering of ours, which is to promote our hobby and encourage and assist newcomers and, collectively, to enjoy and learn from each other.
And this purpose is not achieved through negativity.
Of course there are stupid questions, and of course some of the newbies don't want to learn. But experience shows that that is still a minority, and bad apples are quickly put aside by the system.
But let us be more open armed.

Just pointed out that i attack every thread i can, keeps the conversation going...sometimes it gets stuck and is helpful to have a third party interject.
