I have exactly the same issue with my red terror.

Looks like a big puss filled spot

All other fish doing great but this terror does not get better she eats and is very active but now she is going in a hospital tank I have used salt daily for a week 1 teaspoon per 5 gal API fungus cure for 6 days and prazipro 2 times I give up i can buy 10 red terrors for what it cost to treat this is my last ditch effort so any ideas? ? Also guys that's for the help all fish doing great I did kill my catfish s with the API but that's my fault for not letting you guys know i had catfish lessons learned thanks robert.
 
Lats shot. In the hospital tank use meth blue and General cure or Metro. Prazi will do nothing for this. Salt is fine.

If you have it sure. Just becareful it's strong stuff so the dosing has to be spot on.
 
Thanks he is now in the hospital tank I am going to give it one last shot . I will keep you updated also thanks so much for all the help you guys are my GO TO for the right answers but I need to slow down and make sure I give the right information on. All my fish in the tank me being stupid I lost 6 catfish and 1 bichir to api due to me not saying what other fish I have a lesson learned on my part .
