I am taking my eel out of the tank after i post this. I have bb grouper 10" with my eel in the 300gal. I am sorry it happened to you. sorry for your loss. :([/QUOTE

Give it a few more months you won't be able to put much with it...he's already eyeing out my my 8in lagoon trigger...lol I didn't believe it until today but this is a true tank buster and apex predator!

thanks for the info, I guess he will be in there all alone in a few months:D

Why didn't you try to free the Eel??

300g is too small for the Grouper... they get to 8'... why anyone sells them is beyond me.

I know that I am saving up for the 600Gal that i want. I think I will have enough time before he get too big in the 300gal. :D

What's the point of freeing the eel? Eel look dead, motionless. BTW, do you know how long does it take for a 10in Bumblebee grouper to grow to 8ft? Have you ever seen an 8ft Bumblebee grouper in captive?

Yeah it takes a long time. But it eventually happens.

And how long is "a long time?" A lot of thing can happen in "a long time!"

A few years... the bottom line, it HAPPENS, and very few people can keep an 8' fish that generates such a bioload... sorry.

It'll take forever to get to 8 feet, if ever.:D

How many years are "a few years?" How many people are "very few people?" Bottom line, there's a chance it happens and there's a chance people can keep it, base on your "a few" theory! You just have no idea when it happens or who can keep it, so just enjoy the fish or pix

He grew fast
