i really love how the german blues look but i cant find them but if i did i probly would be asking this after i bought them absolutely beautiful fish

well im back from petsmart with two bolivians those ballon rams look like wierd germans whats the best food for rams to bring out color also iv heard that raising the temp brings out there color
well there in a 20 gallon long is that big enough for life and tank mates are tetras one gourami and some catfish also i have two small fire mouths one that got his but wooped dosen't seem to care another is giving them a hard time when thay get close so i think i will have to move the firemouths sooner than i thought and its a lightly planted tank for now soon to be heavily planted
they'll be fine in a 20 gallon for life, keeps the firemouth that got its but wooped in their and move the other firemouth with more firemouth
sure you could keep just one, but why not keep a couple? I think a small group of them, actually, would look awesome
The bolovian rams are the M. altispinosa. They have always seemed a little hardier to me. They do get bigger than the old fashioned rams, but are not quite as colorful. They have a ton of personality though.
ok well i only have one other firemouth in my big cichlid tank and when i put the aggresive one in there he got picked on by the other firemouth really bad so i took him out and had to put him back in the 20 the other firemouth is bigger than him so i think im going to try to get the small one to grow then put him in there when hes older but now he just seems territorial and chases the rams away so i think its ok for now but i'll watch them
