Just ordered a 1 inch Datnoides Microlepsis

He looks pretty good. Is he eating yet?

So far he’s eaten some blood worms but no pellets yet

So just an update he’s a very difficult eater only accepts bloodworms and even now has started being picky with blood worms, I’m on day 8 of starving him trying to make him eat pellets man is he being stubborn lol I’m having a lot of difficulty with this guy lol

So I finally got him to eat a couple pellets I’m very happy about it, I think him seeing the other fish eating pellets helped him adjust to it better, also I added in 3 more baby dats about the same size to the tank hopefully it works out well

So the little guy is fattening up since he started eating pellets he’s grown about a half inch so I’m pretty happy, but the datnoids I added to his tank was a disaster lol one of them is always hiding in the corner , one of them most similar to his size was badly beaten with a torn up dorsal fin so I moved him into another tank of mine, I think I’m gonna leave him as the only datnoid in the tank form now on , he’s definitely the tank ruler , chases my azul peacock bass a couple times a day at least and the bass is about an inch bigger than him lol also here’s a pic

Just an update he’s living a 90 gallon with a couple cichlids, doing well and eating pellets like a champ, about 6 inches right now so not as slow growth as I thought ( sorry for the bad pics )
