Just placed order over the phone for a black arowana. I have been thinking about getting one for a while, but didnt for two reasons before now, one was, all I ever saw were $300 plus, and two everytime I saved the money up they would already be sold out...

I ordered a 9" for $200 plus $60 for shipping(the best deal ive seen yet for one) , it ships Tuesday and will be here wendsday!!!

with time you will see them cheaper. that is not a bad price, but it is the smallest availible yet this year. they are going to be coming into season so i expect them to be coming in smaller and cheaper like every other year except for this last year. that being said i have paid $180 for a 4-5" black before. as long as your happy thats what matters

Yeah I thought about waiting till spring to see if I could do better, but I saw the size I needed and jumped!! If anyones interested, I purchased from The Wet Spot on aquabid.. They have good feedback, so we'll see how my first aquabid purchase goes... I wanted to support a vendor on here, but the best deal I could find was $300.

You'll be happy. Saw this aro in person last Friday. Very stunning. The Wet Spot is one of the best LFSs around. You wont be disappointed.

Nice pick up.

Are you used to Silvers? Blacks are significantly more mellow and easy going.

But, in the end, when fully grown, they look almost alike, except for the DE tendency eich blacks do not have.

Enjoy!
