Mine does not suck on my bichirs. Just make sure you feed them enough and they shouldn't do it. I started feeding mine one whole algae wafer a day, and he stopped going after the other fish.

I got mine at two inches also, and it had no colour on any of it's fins. A month later it is 3 or more inches and his tail and dorsal fins are colouring up nicely. They aren't bright red yet though, more of an orange colour. But I don't know if it depends on which species it is or not. Mine is taeniurus.

Yea I feed them plenty algea waffers and sinking pellets. Yea they are settling in well the fins are starting to get color and the stripes on the fins are getting darker I'm sure they are happy right now. I don't know the spicies of me can anyone tell me exact spicies? Thanks
