Without a picture, I can't tell if a "four-bar dat" is an Indonesian datnoid or a silver datnoid. Indonesian dats from Borneo typically have four body bars, but keep in mind that, until recently, the silver dat's scientific name was Datnioides quadrafasciatus, which literally translates into "four barred Datnioides."

now that u looked a little more closely they look like they might have four big stripes on one side and then 5 on the other they also have 2 tiny stripes on their tail does that mean anything?
