Just picked up a Dovii/wolf from lfs

Iv only had one large male at 13 14 inches and he was pretty docile. More like an oscar. My 7 inch female was just territorial over her one cave and my other two 3 inchers are just glutinous wussies lol

Large jags Aren't what I'd consider docile they are how ever lazy. My 13 inch male is relatively forgiving of his tank mates but I'm getting ready to let him have the 125 to himself because my other fish do not come out. If they do he make sure they return to hiding.

I've seen some Jags in a large community and sometimes they work. I had one a while back in about the 12" range that tolerated his 3 or 4 tank mates, but made sure they did what he wanted... he kept them to the back of the tank or off to one side. I sold him, but if I had kept him he was just going to get bigger and more aggressive. He was def not really aggressive towards his tank mates, but it was also not really good for them either.

As for what the OP was asking.... Dovii?? Well, again, IME/IMO, they are even worse. I, personally, would not even try a community with one again. I really love Dovii, but I think a 240g tank would need to be dedicated to a male Dovii. Maybe a female would work in a community??

ye 240 with a dovii and a female if he likes her. but ye with my jags as long as someone challenged them they usually never won the fight then again the fight was always with either a red devil festae or dovii lol. a dempsey once too but that was a female jag
