So do I jjust put the driftwood in a tub and filllled it up with boiling water? cant i just use hotwater from the faucet?
you could do like half super hot from your tub but the rest i would boil, the goal is to get it as hot as possible in order for the wood to leach as fast as possible the cooler the water the longer it will take

there is a reason why they are called RED DEVIL and though the smaller is TERROR, which is worse and which is bigger nuff said

Just picked up a 4in Jag. Hope that helps ease up some tension in the glass box.

Another option that I took advantage of is river rock, aka texas holey rock. Not sure if there is any sitting around houston, but sa is loaded with it and with the lack of rain the last year there are dry creek beds all over the place.

yea i got 2 humongous piece of holey rocks...they weigh a ton though. theyre sitting somewhere in the garage..i'll incorporate them into the system in a couple of days

I have two Green Terror Cichlids, one that's about 6" and one thats about 4", i find that they are hardy fish, they put up with alot of stress and the two i have hang out together and tend to protect one another from the other fish in their 120gal... I paid 5$ for the smaller and 15$ for the bigger one, i don't think 50$ for one that size is really fair but they are super slow growers so you've avoided feeding them for two or three years to attain that size ha

You could also run carbon to clear the tannins your driftwood is releasing. That way the tannins get worked out and your fish will have more decor.

I agree with not worrying about the price, especially if its like the one in the vid. I know in my area at and LFS, a nice GT would be at least that much. Big red devils are 50 or 60 regardless of what they look like.

and +1 to pics. I really miss my old GT so I like seeing other peoples.
