Just picked up a yellow pleco, what to feed for fast growth?

I just bought a yellow pleco and wanted to know what I could feed it so it would get bigger and more yellow...the guy at the LFS suggested sweet potatoes..good idea?

WHat kind of yellow pleco??? www.planetcatfish.com Is an alright site for info on these questions... I would recommend cucumbers, zucchini, etc. Swt potato sounds decent too..perhaps some wood, and maybe some meaty matter too for a complete balanced diet.

Hold on...I'll get a shot for I.D. He isn't very yellow right now, but the guy the the LFS said it was because of the substrate.

Hard to tell from those pics, but it looks like a Chocolate Pleco to me.

Looks like an albino bristle nose/bushy nose by color considering size.

Thats a Golden Common. quite a regualr pleco. will grow fairly quick anyway!
