Although my last shortnose ended up dead with a snapped spine and there was an arowana in the tank...
i'm actually pretty happy to be able to say that kolt's actually got rid of most of his collection to make space for the gars. while the silver aro/ shorty combo is pretty inadvisable, it's still his fish and up to him what he wishes to do with them.
if anything, i'm curious to see if he has as much success with silver aro + shorty combo as most ppl have had with fl gar. it's strange that a combo that, by theory, should not have any success whatsoever, has such a high percentage of success when put into practise. anyone else feel that way?

i say good luck to him. doubt it will work but if he wants to try it so be it.
THose of us that have had shortys for awhile can agree that it is highly unlikly to succeced and will most likly fail with the death of his gar. but good luck to him
