They've been together for a night so far. While I was watching, the jar almost took a bite off the oscars' tail but restrained itself from not biting it at all. It was a close one. After that, I fed the hell out of my jardini with pellets and worms. Hopefully the oscars' going to be okay, I just have to keep a close eye on the two. Wish me luck!

Rodney feeding the hell out of your jar as you stated will not help. It's not about the jar being hungry. The jar having a full belly will not reduce the aggression level. Jars kill because of their sheer aggression. IMO it shouldn't take long.
