First off, thanks for ALL the responses.
I separated the Oscar and put him back with his buddy whom I've acquired for free from an owner who was keeping 2 stunted Oscars in a 55. I have them both in the equivalent now.
I was hoping that my Jardini would be a good sport but it's not hinting that way. Looking at the pictures I've posted he must have bite his top back fins a few times and middle fin possibly. No chunks taken so I was wondering if its just not shown in the picture. Probably was nipping though. I've seen a lot of nipped tails in community tanks.
My tank is only 125 gallons thats true. I'm not in the position to upgrade. I am, however, planning on building a 55 gal sump for my 125. That's why it would've been nice of the Jardini to...

And looking at these pictures - it's confirmed. It was getting nipped at. I'm going to have to devise something... But that's when I free up. I really am going to be busy again and won't be able to experiment. To be continued, everybody.

i hope you'r not to fond of the oscar. My old jardini pounded and demolished 3 different oscars. the first one was when he was about you'r jar's size. So good luck with the combo.

like they all said it is a ticking time bomb and that beautiful oscar will be no longer... jars just snap... one day good next day a killer... sooner or later..
my 8inch jar was put into a community tank when he was around 5 or 6 inches then uh i forgot to feed him a couple days ago so he get food for 2 days then uh i wake up next morning to find an angel fish in his mouth. because of the shape of the angel he couldnt get the whole thing in his mouth, i tried to rescue the angel poked the aro's back with my finger and he let of the angel. but before that i think the jar was showing me his catch thats how i was able to poke him. n e ways been feeding him on time now and he hasnt killed any of the other fishes.
