Just Received my First GATF!

Had to post and share my excitement. My little 3" GATF arrived this morning alive and well and appears to be doing fine after acclimation. He is very skiddish but overall looks good. Hope to have him eating soon. Currently in a 40 long alone while he settles in and calms down. Once he starts eating and gets stronger and more comfortable im putting him in my 90gallon growout tank equipped with 2 emp 400s an fx5 and power heads. Ill try and get a pic or two up tomorrow or the day after. Still debating on mixing him with my 2 4.5" red tail barracuda and 6" hujeta in the future, haven't yet decided (dependent upon temperament and growth rate). I feel I have a good plan in place but any tips/suggestions are always appreciated!

Fatten him up, then you can get him off of live food in a few months.

will mix well with cudas and hujeta. i currently have gatf with tellowtails. if your red tails are true falcatus they will outgrow gatf quickly, so be careful, as long as the fish are similairly sized u should be fine. good luck bro
 
thanks yea ive been planning on this characin tank for a little while. Where do you recommend I place my powerhead for a consistent strong current? My fx5 outtake is in back right corner pushing across the back wall
 
He just doesnt want to stop moving. Flinches every time I try and take a pic. But here he is all 3 tiny inches of him lol.

Thanks alot. Yea since hes so small I was gonna maybe do a little excel sheet on length/girth growth and est. feeding amounts best I can as a reference whoever may want to check it out. Hes pretty ballsy other day tried to take on a rosy thats the same size as him but could not swallow it lol. (notice the rosy with the small head and back wounds just below him in the second pic)
