I know no pics...I suck :( Actually when I opened my door it saw me and took off. Not a house gecko looking thing at all...actually had a more anole-build, slender. Somewhat transluscent in the light, looked a tan/yellowish color. Maybe 6-8" long with a more rounded snout and tail tip than an anole...plus it was at night and it had definite gecko eyes. If anyone has any thought on what species it could be please share, I'm in the Daytona area. I turned on my porch light, hopefully some bugs will congregate and he'll come back for a snack and I can get another look or even a pic :)

It's a Daytona Surf Lizard. :D

Could have been a Bark Anole (Anolis distichus). They're a tiny anole species that is very gecko-like.

Edit: I just noticed how big you said it was. I think A. distichus only gets to 5 inches.

its not a gecko unless its a tokay, and i dont know if theyre invasive there

its hard to no without a pic

Mampam I dont know what your talking about but mediteranean geckos are common in florida.

They're native to Southeast Asia so yeah, they're an invasive in Florida.

Kind of like that, but a bit slimmer...also no banding, just plain, and without the little warty things. Pretty smooth. Reminded me of a salamander truly.
