Just saw a male festae about 9" for $25, good?

I believe the males grow super slowly too, this is probably a years worth of growth on a beautiful fish
 
So I am thinking of going and getting it tomorrow after work, any problems with introducing a fish with Ich? I have the medication handy
 
I would buy him in a heartbeat, too bad you don't have a quarantine tank set up because as you probably know, Ich is a pain in the ***, but yeah $25 is a steal I paid $90 for a 3.5 inch male ... now he is approx 8" & I'm in dire search of a female
 
Your barbs, gg and pacu are going to be not only introduced to ick, but also whatever meds too... I would not do that. See if you can pay for the fish, but explain to the lfs you want to pick him up after they are done treating his tank. Most lfs's I kno will not even sell a sick fish....
 
Yeah I will go back to the store tomorrow, pay for the fish and just ask that they could treat it there at the store.

I think I will remove the GG into a big plastic tub, set up a heater and filter and keep him in there for a few days isolated, move around the decorations. so I allow the festae to settle in and establish a territory before I reintroduce the gourami. cause the gourami right now has no competition and I don't want to risk him just attacking the festae.
