So doing water changes and general maintenance and it seems I had neglected my pothos setup.

Above is my 125s nitrate reducer and I had let it over grow so that it had swallowed the lights. Below are a couple of the leaves I cut out being held by my daughter.

On this tank yes, only because of the setup but it's the only one I feel I could skip a week for water changes. So have you seen a decent reduction of nitrates?
I just want to confirm Pothos (I also have bamboo stick plants) on my tank setup, Nitrate is undetectable with duo of redtail catfish and tiger shovel nose catfish. So have you seen a decent reduction of nitrates?

Maybe a month before it had established its roots and started growing out of the tank, then every 2-3 months I have to cut it back down because the leaves will envelop the bulbs. The water lilies I put in with it didn't really ever catch on, probably because the pothos just beat it to the light.I thought my hand sized leaves were big, haha. This reminds me, I have enough now to start potting some around the apartment. How long did it take yours to start climbing? Mine is barely starting to.
