Got a question for you plant guys. I want to take some leaves and make another bundle for a different tank. Is it better to cut the stem or pull it off the vine?

I usually take a piece that has a little bit of roots growing already.
That'd be a good idea if I could get to the roots w/o stripping the rest out lol. I've done it before I just can remember which is the best way.
