just some questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeh since they cant really live with anything i think i might just pass and get a couple bichirs and such but i havent decided yet i love arowanas tho

It all depemnds on tank size, other fish in question, and remeber that every fish even of the same sp can have very different tempraments. Jardini's are very likely to snap in smaller tanks and undecorated tanks. Paricualy with tankmates who share the upper water coloum with them, sayin that with signifigant cover and hiding places bichirs are a better choice of tankmates, and they can easiely defend them selfs. in most case's aggression wont come out until atleast 6" with a jardini but from then on you will need to keep a verry close eye on your tank and be prepared to move fish if needs be. just my opinion..

Read the jardini and tankmates thread!!

lol that will scare him off a jar

Yeah, the jars may hate everything. Mine ate a black ghost knife whole and almost killed a 16" RTC.

Yeah I agree... but it was made a sticky for a reason... I still say go with a jar! just put it with a ray or some big cats! My theory is if the tank mate A doesn't threat the jar B doesn't compete (either eat the same or at least make sure the jar is getting it's fair gluttonous share!) for food with the jar and C If the fish doesn't fit in the aros rather large mouth D not taking up the same portion of the water column helps... if you follow those rules I think your chances will greatly increase in keeping tank mates with a jardini! (Don't hold me to it though, some fish kill for fun:nilly:)

I would only keep an Arowana in a 125 for a short time.
