Nice lei...

They don't have barbels...?????

Good question.... This is the first leichardti I have owned and to be honest I don't know for sure. Or maybe they develop later? he just over 3 inches.

The photo's I have seen of older leichardti seem to indicate they do grow some barbel but i am not sure.

Any signs of aggression? Missing scales? Shredded fins? I'm interested.

Yes there are some biting, chasing, and shredded fins.
There is a territorial issue, although they don't patrol a single spot they like to maintain their space most of the time. If they get too close to each other they start fighting but once one backs off they're fine.

However, despite this I believe it is only rough play, because none of them got to a state where I would need to seperate it from the pack. They are looking great and no sign of sickness/diseases/stress.

I will continually post as new behavior is observed. I love watching them as they always make me happy.:)
Besides that I feel like a scientist.:naughty:
