thats what im using. frozen blood worms. i might try freeze dried BW too. that might be easier. that way i dont overfeed.i havnt tried small bits of fish or MP yet. wasnt sure if they will accept it that young
now that i think about it..just better to stay with the blood worms for a couple of weeks more at least.. their digestive system is so tiny... safer this way... as long as he is eating...all is well.. it will increase.. do you feed a few times a day.. do you have a bottom fish cleaning up the extra food ...

the datnoids were the bottom feeders. lol. but they were picking on the aro. im not even sure how much food it actually got. i think ill just try buying the flat pack kikari bloodworms instead of the cubes. easier to regulate that way.

i guess ill just keep trying different things until i find something it will chow down on. i just want to get it big enough to put back with the dats
it will grow at the speed it is going to grow.. you cannot rush it.. really..power feeding is hog wash... you just pollute your tank.. but feeding tiny bit a few times a day is very good.. keeps his digestive tract working and moving.. and he will outgrow those dats in no time...

i wasnt talking about power feeding. i personally am on the same page as you with that issue. its a load of crap. figuratively and literally. lol. its just plain not healthy. and those dats will be lucky to get over an inch of growth in a years time, so im well aware of the growth rates, i just ment that it will need its own tank for a few months till i can put it back in a comm setting

yes much easier.. i mix with a little water.. and then when it all defrosts i soak it up in eye dropper and squirt it right in his path.. ...i found eye droppers work best because you can aim it.. and only give tiny bit at a time..

well i think that you know your stuff and should do just fine... just keep all the hatches taped over .. every little whole..i know you probably know this too but i tell it anyway...never want anyone to lose their arow if i can help it...best of luck with this baby and keep us updated... with lots of baby pics...

ive read about the eye dropper technique a few times and for many different fish, just never thought it sounded logical, but in this situation, i think it might be the way to go
always good to give it a try... :D
