Looks great bud! I too enjoy the change of adding sand. And your geo reccomendation was a great one. They have that kinda tall body shape like a dat that makes em harder for the bass to eat when growing out together as well.

I'm never getting out of bass. I just need to start out fresh. As funwow and I were talking, it's hard to find what we need. No one will part with there bass. I need a female and so does this person and so does this person.....it's a never ending cycle.
So, I feel it's time to start fresh and get four or five different types of Kelberis and have a choice to whom I want to breed with which Kelberi.
Walker: let me at lease grow out this guy. You are already getting my Bahia bass I got from JL.
But, this is the dirty geo grow out tank.

The hobby is made up of people that:
1) Just getting in and have growouts. 90-95% will give up before they hit 10".
2) Like to show what they bought but have no idea how to keep them.
3) Learn to raise and keep them in top shape (CREAM people).
4) Have been CREAM for some time and is breeding selectively (CE people).
It is your duty CE. Good luck!

Yep and thanks ken, you are the one that made my mind up on this one. Species tanks only, selective breeding and no wondering where they came from. Kelberis is now what I'm collecting and I will for sure post pictures of the new bass I will get in and the collection point.

I like the 3 hands or less motto. And i too like the species only tanks....but I also like a mixed tank. To make it easy i'll need a kelberi tank....and a mixed tank. I was forced to start fresh and I am enjoying every minute of it. But this year is a banger year for the true "cream" junky. Not once have I seen sooo many diff types of kelberi offered....let alone "wc" kelberi. And the abundance of azuls has been crazy! Not too mention the xingu's that have been showing themselves on lists quite frequently. A good year to be a bass junky. A poor year for our wallets+fish
Cant wait to see what the next year brings ya Hayn.hayn- I'm new to the bass but I have a similar objective with my fish room. I will have a few "show tanks" for whatever mix I desire, but also numerous tanks from 20-180 gallons which will house different types of WC bass. Kelberi-so far I have 3 Tocantins & 6 Araguaia (2 sets of 3 from different collections).... And more to come!

Tom, its really good to see a new comer in bass and rays hitting the ground as hard as you do. But, just a little advise.....don't buy fish that you think they are.
Its not about quantity, but quality. My collection are from people that are outstanding fish keepers, that knows the history of the fish and, now, good friends.
I just hope to see your collection the next time I go to NC ( Fayetteville)...
