For some reason my mental image of you was of a tall skinny clean cut guy, sort of a 1950s sort of look with beige trousers, atucked in short sleeve checked shirt, short neat hair, clean shaven and glasses. No idea why, possibly because you are so fastidious with your water changes it gave me that impression. When I first saw a pic of you a while back I realised I was way way off the mark!
No no, you are spot on with your assumption. Gandalf is just his Monday to Friday look. At weekends he morphs into the guy you describe.
