Just Traded my Penguin 350 for an Emperor 400 and WOW!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just checking. I have heard others say the same thing though
Yea i haven't done any studies or anything but the ac 110 models have been great for me. I Have 3 that are still running strong after 8 years and the media capacity and sponge surface area are on point. But honestly I haven't messed with the emperor much so my opinion is bias.

well, tell me the dimensions LxWxH and I'll compare size vs. GPH/total gallon capacity....I trust you, we both have construction background :D

I'm running two aquaclear 110's on my 55 gallon with sponges, ceramic, and filter floss which gets changed about weekly. The water is so clear my fish looks like its floating.

It's rated at 500 gallons an hour but I can't prove that when it's filled with media it's that powerful. Dimensions are like 14" wide by 9 " deep. Front to back is probaly like 4" or so. And the 110 is rated for a max 110 gallons but they have smaller sizes too

EMP400 is 15.75" X 10" X 7", rated to 400GPH, 80g Max-capacity
