They have been off now for one full day and all my fish seem fine , so i think ill just leave them out the tank .

But like i said before ill keep them off for 1 week and see what it's like in that time and then put them back on or just leave them off after the weeks over .
 
The only thing I use air pumps for is to run sponge filters. I've never felt the need for them, don't like the air curtain look in my tanks and have never had any problems with fish by not running them. As long as you've got surface turbulence you should be fine.

Good call. Keep it around though because if you ever need to raise the temperature real high, like when curing a case of Ick for example, it will be good to have extra aeration.
