Just wanna share my new baby pleuro

with ur micro try starving it for a week or so then introduce frozen whatever .i had to starve mine for almost two weeks in order to get them on frozen but now thats all they eat

I agree, as long as the micro has got a bit of weight to it then starving snakeheads normally does the trick. I wouldn't starve those little pleuros though, they are still to young for that.

Most captives are spoiled and overfed which allows them to be picky lol. They hunt out on impulse not out of hunger. Let them get hungry and they normally eat anything. Of course there's always those fish that just refuse no matter what, but if he's not loosing weight he can keep being starved and I bet it'll except frozen before it starts to loose any weight!
 
A week? Wow they must be really mad at me... lol. I could start now due to Chinese New Year, live fish stock really limited here. Almost LFS here been run by Chinese. So it is time I think. Thanks for your advises pal. The plueros now starting to eat blood worm and I try prawn they bite a bit. There are really active swimmer lol. Thanks again.
 
If they eat bloodworms your on the right track ! Did you try chopping the shirmp up and soaking it in blood worms. I buy blood worms frozen so i'll normally dice a piece of frozen shrimp up very small, stick it in a shot glass with a piece of frozen blood worm and let them thaw out together. turns the shrimp the color of bloodworms. Even my clown knife fish converted very quickly with this trick !

Great work getting them to eat without live !

It's work DC... They could accept shrimp in that way. Everyday I just do it and finally they could eat that shrimp just like that. No need bloodworms anymore. Now I just rotating their diet not stick to one. And sometimes I give them live fish because they love to chase it.

While my micro still not eating other else. Actually they live with other marulioides and I feed the marus with meal worms. So they just take a look at the marus eat when feeding time LOL.
