Just wanted to introduce myself

I've never attempted to feed blood worms. Every fish loves black worms but they are expensive! I.would go straight for nightcrawlers and if they eat them forget the black and blood. Move onto chopped shrimp and tilapia soaked in chopped worms :D

Welcome to stingray keeping.. Id say follow everyones advice that has already posted, but from what ive learned the key to keeping retics is to feed them whatever they will eat!! And the ultimate goal with any ray you choose to keep is getting them to eat some type of high protein pellet, the sooner the better.. So when you get some size on them, buy some type of sinking pellet to throw in the tank at the sametime you put the worms in there.. You will find out soon enough that getting all your "meat eatting" fish onto pellets will save you money and time in the long run!!! Hell ive even got my gars taking pellets, and its ten times better than buyin 50 feeder fish a week!!!

Thanks for the advice everyone. We got some night crawlers to try them on. My husband got antsy and just cut it up and dropped in the tank with out letting it soak with what they are currently eating, he cut the worm bigger than I would have probably 1" sections. The male ate 1 chunk no problem. The female tried to eat one she pounced on it got it in her mouth and swam across the tank with it but eventually spit it out probably because he cut them to large. So tomorrow morning I will cut the worms smaller and let them soak with what they currently eat.

Hi
I have a question for you I have a Rio and a Casterix and they have a very wide variety in food intake shrimp, smelt, callameri rings feeder fish, earthworms and black worms. I have not been able to get them to pellets although have tried. Do you have any advice on getting them to eat pellets. Going to try and post a pic
Thank you

Nice looking rays you have there.. The thing that has worked for me with my gar and my two marble motoro is, first get them fat on whatever they will eat(power feed), then stop feeding for a couple days let them get hungry (mine only took two days, some people say it has taken them a week).. When you start feeding them agian, get a mixing cup of what whatever they ate before and mix that with the pellets, and a little water... This method may take a couple trys to work.. My marbles are wild caught so it surprised me to see them eat pellets.. Good luck!!!
