Thanks everyone, the flowers have been off to a slow start. They have grown maybe 1 to 1.5 inches since I got them about 10 months ago but good things come to those who wait.
I built the tank and stand and chose white since my living room has clay colored walls with white trim and a white fire place mantle.
The tiles are just laid in. They are flat back with clean straight cuts. They are tight.
