One ram is missing an eye. He is also missing the first part of his dorsal fin, and part of the fin on his belly. I was at a pet smart about an hour from the house and they had three of them, I bought all three and didn't realize until I got home that he was deformed. I believe it is a birth defect, I don't think the eye or fins ever fully formed. He still has an eye to say, as there is still a black dot in his skull that does move around.
I've never seen the puffers go after the shrimp, then again I only see my shrimp about once a month. And speaking of fish I never see, I totally forgot that there is an upside down cat in there as well. The larger puffer was actually pulled from my girlfriends tank. She has had him about four years and neither of us has ever heard or was told they were full salt as adults. The largest is about three years old, he still eats like a pig, and when ever I dump some snails in the tank, he just destroys them. But as I said, I'm having trouble finding him a home. My las does have a salt water display tank, but I'm not sure if they take fish in or not. They also don't have a brackish tank, I don't know if they have to be in brackish first or can be dripped for salt right away.
Once I find a home for the puffers, I believe the giant danios are going to end up being re homed as well, and the angles are large enough to go into her tank, I'm on the fence of adding an electric blue jack Dempsey. Any one think there will be enough room for him?
And thanks for the kind words everyone.
