Japanese slaughter whales, Chinese (and others) kill all kinds of by catch including dolphins and sharks with their nets.
Plus cut the sharks fins off and throw them back in the water. And some poor fisherman has to deal with these clowns?
Just WOW indeed.

Yeah those fishermen were surprisingly calm and cool-headed -- I'd like to see Mr. Fish Liberator try that in Alaska, dude would have been knocked out or thrown over the bridge...

Hello; I have not yet watched the video but gather some nut actually threw a fisherman's catch back into the water. Also saying fish are not food or something like that.
Not sure how I would react if something like that happened to me when I was fishing. Might get violent on my part as my first gut reaction is this is the same as robbing me. I will not allow some one to walk up and just take my property under all other conditions.
Is a single fish worth doing violence? Fair question I suppose but it is not just the worth of the fish. I walk around in the world and have a notion of what I will allow others to do to me or mine. I have pretty clear boundries for other adult males. Not so clear for women and especially for young children, but an adult man coming up to me and doing something like that is not allowed.

Being an old man I might not try to fight him off directly like I would have when young, but there often other options available to me. Were I to take his life my guess is the news would say "Killed over a fish". That would be in a way correct but to my mind the guy would have crossed a line when he came over to take my stuff. Curious as to how this sort of thing might play out here in TN.

Here in California, the fish have civil rights.

Fishermen have civic responsibilities.

And the basic fishing license is now almost $50 a year.

Between that and all of the gun laws here, the local sporting good stores are having a tough time.

Of course it's not due to brain-dead muppets like the one in our target video here . . .

LOL . . . Yes indeed sir. Also everybody on that bridge with a fishing pole would have also had (at the least) a big knife hanging on his belt. I used to live on that edge of the Canadian Muskeg and things are different where the weather is deadly and man-eating animals roam.

But I just can't imagine somebody coming up to me like that when I'm holding a big stick in my hand with a chunk of deadly metal hanging off of it.

"Your honor, the victim was clubbed over the head with a Garcia-Mitchell 300 and then stabbed with a broken Fenwick!"

Hahaha. I feel like the restraint those guys showed was more amazing than the rambling idiot
