here mine at two inches i have see some that stand out early

I have 5 juvenilie gt s in my tank about 2.5 inches. they are all coluring very nicely, but 3 are darker than the other 2. Is it male and female or they are just different?

Color can be brighter in males, but I've seen some nice females too. My females tend to be a lighter color than my male but they can turn it on when breeding too. The pic of the fish in question looks washed out more than I would expect for fry that size, Can you get any more pics of him, it's doesn't look like many markings are even showing. Feel free to look at mine in my gallery, I have kept a monthly photo record for my fish - well up to these past few months. I still have to upload some from the past few months and update my fry pics too.

maybe try giving him a place to hide
to me that fish looks stressed, that's why i think that if you give him a hiding place it will help

Give him some time after he has had your diet for him.

Have to agree with every one here. Mine didnt color up untill around the 3" mark.
