Juvenile RTM pics?

I recently picked up a 1.5 RTM . These are beautiful ! I cannot wait for my RTM to grow !!
 
I'm almost certain that they are Loisellei's. Hopefully I'm wrong but I remember talking to the guy there and he told me of the mislabel. This guy is one of the employees who actually is a Cichlid-buff and not just someone who works there.

The red in the anal fin is Loisellei but I can see the spotting on the gill plate that looks like red spots. Can't tell for sure.

I just bought 10 real small ones from COA and the last time I went to Captain Nemos, they had a tank of 2-3 inchers but they were covered with a parasite.

May be I'll try captain nemos. I don't really wanna order $100 in fish right now from COA. I'm looking for stalsbergi, lysoni, and in the future black umbees. Only time will tell if I have to add RTMs back on the list.

rapps has lyonsi. Nemo';s has a male i traded in that nobody bought yet. Last time i checked at least.

If my mota's survive when they get bigger, I'm sure I'll unload some. I'll post on here.
 
Let me know ill buy them off you, or trade you la ceiba if you still.want some.

i bought same batch as u from that pet place. they were under red tiger motaguense. i learned a month later it was loiselle infact i told them and they classified them that that day but there were also red tiger motas in there too all half a inch n august. so when i told them the main guy there gave me a red tiger mota. they were in same tank 30 of them. my loiselle is now 3.5 my red tiger mota 2.5. they were same size but bought loiselle a month before. im sure that they are loiselle n red tiger mota. my loiselle was more yellow now since i got silver gravel and a mirror background n my new 225 gal. he or she loiselle is scaly but gold with blue n green illuminating pretty ,but all loiselle markings except blotches under vertical line. thouhgt female when young now dont know cool fish. under the radar but cool looks just like your above photos just stockier and more dominant looking. there diet is ocean nutrition flakes brine n veggie day ,night shrimp .n my tank get along fine no stress, so that color on my loiselle has to b cause of gravel n background , weird

Can you post pics of your fish in the thread? I realized that I also fed my fish ultra red, so Idk if the reds are real or artificial:/ thinking I've got like two RTMs

Those are not rtm's. Rtm's have a more elongated body. Those look very wide. I'll post a pix of my pair from Rapps soon as I get their breeding tank finished.
 
I sold these five loiselli off and ordered two RTMs from Rapps. I got the fish from the pics from thatpetplace at 1.5" as RTMs but I'm told they had a mix up and may have had both RTM and loiselli fry in the same tank. I contacted them regarding the error and was told that it's beyond the 30 day return date, so there's nothing they could do. Lesson learned know who you are getting your fish from. To be fair at 1.5" many fish in The parachromis family look similar. I'm just pissed I drove 2 hours to Lancaster and didn't get what I paid for. On a positive note my RTMs came today from Rapps, and I couldn't be happier. :)
