Just sharing some pics of My Synspilum and Texas. Had them about a week. The vent pic is of the syn, I took it when he was getting bagged up at the shop, to me it looks like oo which means male right?

Looks male to me, hopefully some one with experience in Syns can chime in, I've never owned one, very cool cichlid, definitely on my list to eventually have, g/l
 
Its hard to say its a little small. Let it get a little bigger and vent it. The fish look very nice though.

IMO the vent is more U indicating a female. a SHARP V is a male. Normally I buy these fish in pairs or groups so I get a few vent them and see differences.
