Is it common for juvenile trimac (3-4 inch) to start gaining red coloring on the tail and top fin on the tail fin its almost turning completely red and the top has a red coloring in it... IS THIS COMMON or NORMAL?

You're setting yourself up for someone to say it's not a trimac without the benefit of even seeing it. Even if you post a pic, you'll get someone that will tell you it's a flowerhorn because most people have no idea what a real trimac even looks like.
My trimac juvies get a very thin red tip on their dorsal and tail.
