Seeking advice. I have a well established planted 125gallon tank with 2fx6’s. Water parameters: Temp 82F, ph 7.6ish, Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates 10. I purchased a healthy Wild Caught 5” Black Arowana 1 month ago and it started developing fin rot very slowly. He was initially super shy but now greeting me and eating great. Tank mates are 2 discus and swordtails but absolutely no signs of aggression or fin nipping both ways. All other fish are doing really good with no fin rot or any signs of disease. Had the other fish for years with absolutely no illnesses.
Side note, I have raised a 2 WC juvenile black arowanas in the past and same situation happens with the fin rot but does well other wise. I also purchased a larger 1 foot black arowana and no issues with fin rot in the past and that bigger fish did great.

My question is this:
1) is the fin rot caused by stress or ph/Gh that is significantly different from their natural environment? And will it just get better over time?
2) is it because WC fish have increased risk for bacteria and this is probably what it is?
3) is it because it is a juvenile aro and as they get older and more mature their immune systems are stronger?

Just at a loss and curious to know if anyone else experienced this with juvenile black aros. Attached is a photo of how he looks now compared to when I first got him. Last photo is the setup.
