Sweet little festae! Looks male. As far as growth your probably looking at something like the growth of a jack. Fairly slow.
yes that is a festae nice fishyou should beable to start telling at about 3 inches and sorry to say they are slow growing i have had my female for a year and a half and she is only 6.5 inches maybe 7
