The different levels of WTF salting needs to be squeezed in there somewhere! Lol

i got you covered here.... all salt methods require water change first(50-60%)...

tonic treatment is anything up to a pound per 100 gallons for me... it depends on my mood that day...

WTF salting the KISS way: ALL NUMBERS ARE POUNDS PER 100 GALLONS!!!

uh oh= 1/4-1/2#
oh snap= 1/2 -3/4#

now to the main list...

G dang it.... 1-1.5 #
oh xhit 1.5-2#
xhits hitting the fan then 2-3#
now if xhit hits the fan and all hell is breaking loose then then you wanna consider 3-4# of salt...

Nice work Nic.....

:headbang2

WTF salting = "W"aterchange "T"imeframe "F"ail ??? :naughty:

I've found that my WTF saltings usually come from slacking. In either maintainance OR not seeing early symptoms or warning signs due to poor observation.

Good point with the K.I.S.S. method so many information sources people do so much and waste too much time and energy when it's the simple basic's that can be utilized successfully without all these fancy new computer controller's and crap.

BUMP FOR K.I.S.S. :nilly:

just read the whole thread. . the plant guy . change your lighting and the green meds . i think that might be copper related and a nono for rays --- but htats probably 6 mths since posting lol

good read and yeah i found out the hard way but its basically what i do now .

i lost a few rays in the many years ive tried keeping them and reserching the few places availbe whilst not keeping them ( im talking last 10 yrs plus ) i could probably dig out a vid of my first retic in a com setup with neons swimming past and a prawn somwhere in a dark cavern lmfao .

keeping it simple is the way to go ( after fortunes spent on test kids . ro equptment . meds and god knows what else )

i would only query the large waterchanges. 50% ? sounds alot to me . im reluctant to do over 25% due to the behaviour and coloration of my rays after large water changes.

could be interesting to see what comments are about this .
