K1 media

I'm looking for around 100 litter/33 gallon k1 media. Where can i get the best deal in the US? I'm looking around on amazon and ebay, but it's still pricey. Thank you.

K1 is not cheap there are knock offs you can buy it will do the same thing

I've been following some K1 discussions online as well. Is "Onlineponds" k1 original stuff or similar appearance product?

Pardon for such question as I have never bought any online aquarium product before.

That's awful expensive for a gallon.

I have heard of people gettin a whole bunch of drinking straws and cutting them up into pieces from 1/4"-1" and using it fluidized like K1. It can give a ton of surface area of you use enough but it won't have the "self cleaning" shape, but I'm skeptical if that's true.

Just an idea and it's super cheap!

I just made a mbf out of straws. Just need to get it up and running they are supposed to work fairly well but will not have the surface area of k1
